Day 1 Post#1 Camaro paint job. Jan. 8 2007

Here are the Progress shots of my stripe paint job. Going fairly well so far. Hood, hatch, and spoiler sanded scuffed. Taped off Pics in post #2 Start painting on 1-9-07

Looking good so far.....is it just me or does the second pic look like one side isn't even? Or is it supposed to be that way?

As far as the lookin uneven part the middle pice of tape is my centerline. I go off the right edge of the tape so it sits to the left side of center.

What colors are you going with? Thanks to a guard rail jumping out infront of me, my SS is going to go uner the knife soon.. I'm planning on an orange ZL1/manta stripe.

Nice. I just saw an article on a new bare metal stripe technique being used and I'm thinking about trying it on a test panel soon. Let us see some pics when you're done.

Send me any pics of that when you do the panel id like to see it. This was my bare metal job on a table top i made for the shop.

I grinded the metal just made wavey lines and some flame like lines. Than I sprayed PPG Radience line blue over the bare metal. Dont need primer cause the paint gets pretty good mechanical adhesion. The radience line is kinda like a weak candy true candy works better.
