Look up parts online?

Does anyone know if there is a place I can look up junkyard parts online? I found some where you give information and they call you back, and I found yellow page listings to call. I'd like to just search inventories, if possible.

i don't know that it can be done yet. the junkyards can subscribe to a service that links all of their inventories together, so if a customer comes in looking for a hood and a driver's side mirror for a '94 ranger if someone in the network has those parts they will show up. then it's just a matter of getting in touch with that particular yard and making sure the parts exist, taking a deposit and getting the parts shipped to their yard or the customer (usually an auto body shop).

but you, as an individual, being able to browse inventories? not likely. there's lots of money in parts, and i don't think they want people off the street just snooping through the parts. i could be wrong.

i stand corrected. i did the above search example, driver's side mirror and hood. the mirror came back $22-70 and the hood came back $75-175. not too bad. i guess you could use it to search a particular yard.

then again, certain yards, it looks like, will let you search their inventory: http://www.tenaflyautoparts.com/

Negatory Paul, most of it burnt to the ground but not all... hel, you're the one that told me that!!

If anyone happens to go there or need something from there give me a call, its like 2-3 blocks from my house but I didn't know that until this summer
