The bodies were still similar but the firebird was much more serious looking, all the maros looked like 6 cylinders.
79 posted the highest sales for the camaro until sometime in the 90's I think. And chevy and pontiac didnt "decide" which one was gonna look better each year. they both put up max effort designs and the masses chose which was better. And if the last generation camaro was so "tame looking" then why did it outsell the firebird?

You guys forget that in the late 60s the Firebird didnt come out till after the camaro. It didnt come out till febuary of 67. And the T/A was not needed till 1969. The "SS" and "RS" maros had to come out right away. U kno y? Cuz firebirds r better. I kno we here all stand for the F-body. Just tryin to bring a lil rivalry to the f body name. Seems like it would be fun. Im my opinion 1st. gen they both look sexy as hell. Second gens the T/A was better. Turd gens...idk i just dont like em. 4tyh gens... Both look sexy but the 93 - 97 maros...idk i didnt like the head light set up. Late 98-02 T/A look ****ing sexy as all hell.

With the (lack of) maturity and intelligence you displayed in this post all your girl problems begin to make sense.

79 was highest, then 84. I know in 84 they sold nearly 1/4 million Camaros alone. I wana say that 79 was near 400k?
