Hey. IDk if its just that im really bored but do any of you have a story why you like f-bodies so much?
I guess mine is that when i was a lil kid my pops(was an ******* then to but didnt no it) was never around for those important dates and my aunt who had a thurd gen T/A would then take me out and cruz around to cheer me up. I loved looking out the T tops. I figure thats y i like this line of cars so much.
Any of u have a story y u like theses cars besides performance or anything?

i wanted a vette when i was a kid. got older, got around more car guys, realized teh percentage of vette owners that are complete dick-bags, saw my friends 91 formula 350(hardtop, ws6, red w/black interior ) and started shopping for cars.
i found my 91 RS at coleman buick on spruce street and knew i had to have it.

Dad's a mechanic, so I grew up around cars. My '85 Camaro kinda fell into my lap when I turned 17, and I've been in love ever since.

It started out for me with the 1st Smokey and the Bandit movie....God I loved that car My parents would stop by the Pontiac dealer with me just so I could see "The" car up close and get to sit in it (I guess I was about 6 or 7 then). Then they were car shopping (78/79) at Pine Belt Chevrolet, and I remember this beautiful yellow and black Z-28 sitting there that I begged them to buy. We ended up with a '79 Malibu Station Wagon but I knew from that point on that a Z-28 would be mine some day. I'm on my 4th f-body now.

From when I was a kid, my brother always loved mustangs. Of course being different I had to find a car that was its "rival". Thus giving me the Fbody. Granted I still love mustangs too.

I was "dating" a vette guy, who was probably more of an f-body guy, who introduced me to these f-body guys, who in turn were some of the coolest mf's i've met in my life. And my dad has been a car and motorcycle enthusiast for all his life, and my brother Phil is all into the diesels and whatnot. Together, they have shown me the way of the automotives, and I've learned how to hang with the F-body crew. Besides, every f-body guy needs a cheerleader in the stands by the burnout box. Atco is now the reason i keep my tuesdays free.

I dunno why I chose camaro and firebirds. My first car was actually a 70's Mopar. I guess I liked the lines of an fbody better than comparable cars , ie: mustang, daytona, hondas, etc. I fell in love with my 88 GTA when I first saw it, with its gold lace wheels, ttops, tpi motor, and digital dash. BUT now i almost regret ever getting started with f bodies when I go or look outside and just see my SS sitting in my driveway dead for the past 6 months.

It goes farther back then liking cars for me...
I was in 6th grade and I just had to have a little 34cc motor scooter,so I saved up and got one,I started hanging out with dirtbags who had them, and they started to talk trash about me and what not I got another motor scooter because the first one broke, then I sold both of them and got a dirtbike, then as I was riding around 2 of my now good freinds stopped me while they were on their moped's and It turns out one of them lived down the street from me and I never new about it,I became good freinds with him and he has a 86 trans am "tojan" I really started to get into cars at this point, and I was talking about this rusty firebird in my neighbors drive way, one day i stepped off my middle school bus and he was talking to the owner about it, then he came over and told me about it and now its sitting in my garage! I wouldnt buy another car besides GM right now! and I am currently saving up for a second AND third fbody while paying some things off.

Well... I was actually gonna get a Stealth R/T Twinturbo. I went and got the cash out of the bank for it, went to the guy's house and guess what... someone just drove away with it for $3200 when I had $3400 on me. So Im like OK I HAVE to find a car. So my dad was driving me back home and I spotted a black 86 Trans Am with a for sale sign. Yep, after that it was all over
The owner of the 86 wanted $3000!!!! Even I knew that was insane... 143k miles, spray paintjob, and crooked fenders. I talked him down to $1700 and thats why Im here today. I think that if I had shown up to the guys house sooner, I wouldnt be here today. But then again, not like anyone gives a **** anyway

I've grown up around the track, so i've always been into american muscle, and HATED rice burners since they first started buzzing by. A few months before i turned 17 I started looking for cars, and was working the timeslip booth at Island when I saw an 81 Camaro for sale. I didn't know a thing about it, other than when I told my dad about it, i said "i think its a camaro, im not sure though." We knew the guy selling it, bought it from him that night. I absolutely loved that car, but unfortunately shoved it into a guardrail the next summer. We were planning on fixing the 81, but came across the 79 I have now for cheaper than a front clip was for the 81. Still have my 81, but its in pieces, and some of its pieces now live in my 79.

2 of my friends had Mustangs(66 and 67 converts) so I naturally had to try and balance things out and got a 69 Camaro conv. I've had a bunch of cool Camaros so far and don't plan to stop any time soon.

Because...
When I was a Freshman in HS, a senior had a beautifull Black 1997 Z28 (might even have been an SS) So I instantly fell in love with its lines. They looked much better then the Fox bodies that my friend was into, so I naturally took the other side.
