Heads/Cam Package

Stage 1 Lloyd Elliots
http://www.eportworks.com/LT1LE1.htm

Quote:
LT1 – LE1Head/cam package will pull from 2,000 to 6,200 RPM and should make *370 – 390 RWHP with 30 lb. injectors, 52 MM T.B., 1 ¾ LT’s no cats, good tuning, etc. This will have an idle similar to the HotCam, CC 305, etc. but will make more HP & TQ than these cams with the same RPM range.

The LE1 heads consist of:

Stock Valves with Back Out
CM 612 Spring Retainers & Locks
195 CC Intake Port
Milling
Cleaning
Assembly
Flow About 255/180
Ready To Bolt On
*The HP#’s mentioned are typical for an F-body with 6 speed, stock rear and with ALL of the complimenting parts mentioned.

LE1 Head/Cam Package - $1,100 plus shipping. $800 for Heads only
I still plan on getting Jet-Hot long tube headers, possibly with an off-road y-pipe, BBK 52mm Throttle Body, Grantelli MAS, SLP CAI, SVO 30# injectors, Under-drive pulleys, New Opti w/ Internals, and a good tune.

But what would I do about Rockers? I was thinking 1.6 roller rockers but what brand?

This is most likely the route I want to go, and have a spare set of heads to have sent out, to make the swap as easy and quick as possible.

GM makes a very nice set of 1.6 race rockers for the LT1, they even fit under the stock valve covers. They come with the LT4 hotcam kit but gimme a few minutes and I will chase the part# and get you a price.

Comp Pro Mag 1.6 NSA Rockers. Chromemoly, so they're light. Bodies are warrantied for life. Not overly wide like the Crane or GMPP rockers.

I suggest NSA because when using the GMPP guideplate (part number 14011051) this provides for a VERY stable setup.

IIRC, Brets cams are somewhat agressive with the lobes (not nearly as much as Joe O's specs though), so you may also want to consider stepping up to 7/16" rocker studs.
