what tires to use???

im running repro 2000 c5 vette wheels on my 94z, there 17's and im assuming 9.5 wide, they currently have 275/40/17 all around. tires are gonna need replacing fairly soon as im almost to the wear line. anyway, im wondering if i can run a 295/40/17 in the back and like a 245/45/17 in the front? if not ill just do 275's all around but i like the look of a wider rear tire.

If your contact patch is that much different in the rear than it is in the front you may change the handling characteristics of your car (due to the extra grip out back).
