Think i snapped my axel

was making a turn, not going fast and i heard a snap so i pulled over. luckily i wasnt far from home so i did about 5 mph the rest of the way and got it in my driveway. When i jerk the wheel back and forth it feels like my back wheels are going to fall off. I need to put it on a lift and figure out what it is =(

can you get a picture of this? How can you snap it in half making a turn "not going fast"?
