Driveshaft question

I have a slightly damaged stock 4th gen aluminum Driveshaft.

It is from my '01 SS and what happened was during a 1-2 shift, I tore the stock torque arm a few inches in front on the rear. The suspension compressed and i was riding on the bump stops basically. At the initial moment when the TQ arm broke, the angle of the DS was so great that it made contact with the metal e-brake cable bracket(s). As a result it put a thin shallow gouge around the circumference of the driveshaft. Its not very deep but nonetheless, its there. Maybe some would call it more of a scratch. When I replaced the TQ arm, I also replaced the driveshaft. But I've had the original one just sitting in my garage.

My questions is... Is it safe to use or should I at least have a shop inspect it?
The car I was thinking about putting it in is not a race car by any means(190hp automatic) so I'm not sure if it would be ok or not.

I dont know of any shops local in NNJ that could inspect it.
