Happy Almost Thanksgiving!!!
Since it is the end of the year and most of the talk around the forums is about winter projects and what everyone is doing with their approaching long weekends and days off we thought we would share a few of the projects that the NJFBOA is working on.
The most time consuming work we are doing is most likely the restructuring of the monthly meets. With the addition of several charity events throughout the summer show and racing season and closer relationships with other F-body clubs around the region, we look forward to more people out enjoying the meets and more friends from the communities we visit joining in the fun.
Planning is moving forward nicely, but there is a lot of work left to do. So far we have the date and location of the January Monthly Meet set. It will be held on Saturday, January 19th at the Firkin Tavern in Ewing. The meet will be a buffet meal with some special guests, the Member of the Year announcement, and a few other special tidbits that we are working on. Our July BBQ and Blood Drive event took a huge step forward this week when the Community Blood Council of New Jersey agreed to bring both of their mobile donation centers to Duke Island Park for the day. This event is a great chance to get out and help the local community as CBCNJ is the primary blood supplier to 3 of the 4 hospitals closest to the area we are holding the meet. We have an opportunity to really help the community during a time of year that blood supplies can run very low. We have some more planning work to do, but it is nice to see the early stages of planning coming together so nicely.

Over the course of the winter the NJFBOA will also start posting information and articles in the long awaited Technical Knowledge Center. We are working closely with some of our sponsors and the aftermarket to supply a variety of "How-To" and informational articles. Topics ranging from how to choose and match the right parts, budget friendly upgrades, parts swaps, and even some historic F-body information and advertising.
This is just the tip of the iceberg that represents all of the great ideas we have received from our members over the past year. We would like to thank everyone again and encourage you to keep the suggestions coming.
