Discovered something interesting...1LE brakes = Terminator brakes

I had my car on the lift at work yesterday during project "re-do EVERYTHING", was changing the trans & diff fluid to Redline(HIGHLY recommend btw) & changing the now 18yr old OEM Delco fuel filter (then did a complete MSD tune-up and a few other odds & ends). But anyway...

While I was on the lift my buddy was putting brakes on his 03 Cobra and I happened to notice the front calipers in passing had "PBR" on them, which is the same company that made the 1LE brakes for the Camaro's. I went "Hey, those look familia...HOLY WTF?!"

They have the EXACT same calipers!! I could have stolen his Hawk pads and used them on my car, they're identical!!

Another case of GM doing things right the 1st time and Ford trying to play catch up.

And iirc the 1LE brakes were the same from late 88+ so apparently it took Ford a while to catch on.

Feather-light suspension, Konis just couldn't hold. I'm so glad I took a look inside your showroom doors.

Their is a differance between the two. I think it is the spacing on the caliper where it mounts to the backing plate. But, yes they are the same 2 pistion design caliper tho. When I worked for Spohn's we used to get Cobra ones here and there from the local jobber mixed in for the 1LE parts.
