Help me decide! :)

High Stall Converter or a Intake Manifold? Not going to be drag racing the car but looking for which one will provide more of a fun factor for everyday driving. Help me out guys...Kinda know the answer to my question already but wanna hear some opinions

well you will have to pay someone to install the converter while you can do the intake in your driveway.

You can do a stall in your driveway.... aint fun but doable...

and I would not go cheap on stall, spend the 800 for a good Yank or Vig.

Converter would be the best mod for fun driving. But don't guess at what to get, talk to someone who truly knows. Try talking to some of the sponsors to see what they suggest.

I have a pretty good idea of what stall speed I want.

3000 isn't much of a stall for an LS1. Foff667 had a 3600 I believe in his 98 and it made a world of difference in his ET and still drove around town fine.
Check with SSP, TMR, and JSPerformance for TC's before you buy too. I am sure they all have hook ups and I know that JSPerformance is a Precision Industries dealer.

Like i said I dont care about et's...im not going to be drag racing the car(as of now) . Probably looking for something more on the milder side. I just want it to eliminate some of the dead spots.

Why buy a converter that is not properly matched to your combination and driving style or one that is made of inferior components? Because of the cheap price? If you can't afford to do the job right the first time then how are you going to afford to re-do it when it breaks?

Sorry I dont consider a $500.00 TCI 2800-3000 stall converter an inferior component. Seeing I wont be drag racing i dont think I need a 3500-4000 stall etc. For what im looking for I think it'll do the job. Its a bolt on car and im not sure what you mean by driving style. I driving it normally and occasionally like to get on it.

Don't look at the price or manufacturer. You need to identify your goal, your current combination and the way you want to drive the car.

I do.

Design and quality of the converter is just as important in a street car as it is in a race car. An inefficient converter on the street will feel like mush until you lay down the throttle and cost you gas mileage big time. The plastic parts that the cheaper companys (TCI, Pats's, Boss Hogg, B&M) use can and will fail under the extreme heat that an inefficient converter will make.

After doing some light reading on Fuddle's reputation, you may want to Google them and see what you find.

It'll be a great post in a few months "My converter exploded!"

Good price, well there under new ownership...I know tech dropped them but I just did a few hours of google searches and besides horrible customer service the converters seem to hold up fine.
