Well, we are going to start this newsletter out the same way we have started almost every other one we’ve ever sent: more new members! We are currently at 1,480+ members, and there seems to be more people joining up every day.
We are exactly one month away from the East Coast F-Body Nationals, which will also mark the club’s third anniversary.

Another big announcement is the addition of a new supporting sponsor for the NJFBOA, JS Performance. Josh, the proprietor of JS Performance, has been a long time member of the NJFBOA. The June meet at The Chatterbox Drive In, located in Augusta, NJ, was a great success. We had approximately 20 F-Bodies and 35 members show up to support our club and participate in the weekly cruise night that is held there during the summer months. We would like to thank everyone who attended, and helped make this meet a good time.
The July meet will be held at Duke Island Park, on Sunday July 29, 2007. Following up the success of last years gathering, we are returning to one of our favorite locations for another fun afternoon of BBQ, bench racing, and maybe even a Frisbee toss! With progress comes change. As the NJFBOA has grown in membership and public profile it has become apparent that we have the opportunity to be a powerful force in the political and legal environments surrounding our hobby. This was strengthened when we made the decision to join the SEMA Action Network, a political action group that defends the rights of automotive enthusiasts.
One of the side effects of our increased profile and sway is that we also must grow to be an example among the enthusiast community. For this reason we can no longer allow threads, pictures, or videos that describe, promote, or otherwise condone street racing and other overt criminal activity. More detailed information about this new policy will be included in a revised set of forum rules that will be posted this coming week.
