Question No Tach

i installed an Accell ignition coil and took it for a test run, everything was fine, next time i turned on the car there was no tach, just sat at 0. i went and checked everything, all looked good and still no tach. did i miss something, do something wrong while installing it?

Make sure your connections are good, especially your ground. If you used the crimp-on connectors it may look good from the outside but still be bad.

Oh, sorry. For some reason I was thinking you were using an aftermarket tach.

For what it's worth, I've had 2 Accel coil packs go bad. In 127 miles of driving. Piss poor QC in my opinion. If you still have the stocker, put that back in and see if it works.

thanks bill, i got it working, i plugged in the old one and it worked fine. i plugged the accell back in and probed the wires on the conectors and one had no power so i disconected it and stuck a tiny screw driver in and bent the prong inside the connector on the new accell coil towards the middle, pluggged it back in and all was good!
