Some idiot is using my email address

This is going to sound monumentally stupid, but I don't know what to do. I was one of the early adopters of GMail, and since my name is relatively unique, I was able to get the email address of firstname.lastname@gmail.com. Some Philistine from California has his paypal account, his amazon account, his Wells Fargo account, his evike account, etc. all coming to my email address. Apparently, he has the same email account but with a period between the first two letters of my last name and the number 21 at the end. This Nobel Prize winning genius keeps forgetting the 21 at the end of the email and I am getting all of his notifications, and he buys A LOT of guns and gun paraphernalia. And he bought a bunk bed. That combination is disturbing to me.

Fast forward to weeks down the line, he gets a group email coordinating some event that has his cell phone. So I texted him and kindly asked him to stop using my email account. He asked me to forward the emails to some other account, and apologizes. But it hasn't stopped. Every time I get an email, I check to see if my amazon account or paypal account are compromised. I switched my passwords fifty times although GMail notifies you of any new logins with a text, and I haven't received any. I'm just annoyed, and frankly, a little worried about his purchase history.

What should I do? I'm living in paranoia here over a similarly named guy that buys a lot of guns.

He certainly wouldn't be legally buying guns in Kali if he was a criminal.

And while he is an idiot it seems, buying guns if you legally can, ain't a crime. At least not yet.

I was being facetious, but it is odd that other than a bunk bed and lego figurines, that is his entire purchase history over a course of many months.

At least your same name guy seems cool, just a derp derp.

My same name guy is a 52 year old dude in Kansas with a burglary history.

I dont have a same name guy, but i do have someone that also has a "mbeggs@xxxxx" paypal. Mine ending in BBMCC.com, his ending in gmail.com. Made the mistake one time as having mbeggs@gmail.com as my paypal. Sold a LS6 intake for $300 on ebay and it all went to the wrong paypal account. Luckily me and the kid that bought the manifold exhanged instagrams and facebooks, so i just messaged him and told him what was going on(guy refused to answer my emails and paypal was no help) So the kid filed with ebay that he never got the item and ebay refunded all his funds. then he paypal'd me directly.

Jake, maybe start to annoy him. Everytime you get a email or notification, screenshot and send it to him.

All of this made me laugh. Just keep pestering him, but don't be a dick either--he can very easily start signing your email up for unwanted subscriptions if he really dislikes you

Text him, email him, just be in his ear enough times until it finally clicks & he changes his auto-fill settings Good luck

Trigger words (no pun intended) make everyone forget the subject matter: Spam messages are annoying.

BTW, as your non-attorney, I advise you not retaliate unless you're ready for him to reciprocate--like you said, he knows your email too. Food for thought.
