Tunes/Chips

I recently bought a 2011 Tahoe and with the 6spd trans it's way down on power.

Anyone have any luck with tunes and will they void my warranty?

I'm looking to get the Diablo puck for my dodge diesel, as many have told me how great it is and i won't have to worry about a trans being fried.

Brands, do's/don'ts?

thanks!

what do you mean "it's way down on power"? As in it has lost power since you picked it up, or it never had power?

and yes, if the dealer catches on you did a tune they can void your warranty.

Diesel Dodge
Tahoe

2 different vehicles

Same power as day 1. I had a 2003 Tahoe. Dealer told me a lot of people complain with the 6 spd trans and that it shifts a lot. After looking around , it seems a mild tune makes the Tahoe much more driver friendly.

The Power Puck for the Dodge seems like it works. I have a few friends that use it and claim power and mileage increases. I just don't want my trans laying on the highway afetr installing it.

So question still remains, is it diesel or a gasser?

So you have both a gas tahoe and a diesel dodge. I think you're asking if tuning for the tahoe is going to get similar gains as the aftermarket for your diesel dodge?

That, and he is asking for feedback on which tune(r) to get for both trucks.

Tuning is not going to pick up significant power on the Tahoe if its stock. However a tune can make it feel much quicker by increasing part throttle shift points, bumping line pressure, and reducing torque managment. IMO bumping line pressure and deleting torque management should be done VERY carefully. A shift kit and tuning would be a much better option.

I guess my writing is more confusing than i thought.

1. Has anyone used a Power Puck on a 5.9 2007 Dodge diesel and will it fry my stock transmission.

2. I have a gas powered 2011 Chevy Tahoe that is sluggish since new and has a 6 spd trans that does nothing but shift constantly, causing the motor to lag a bit. Will a tune, chip, etc help this 2011 gas powered 2011 Tahoe perform better without affecting my warranty from the factory that i got when i purchased the vehicle new?

Sorry for the confusion

What level power puck? Usually anything over 100hp is considered bad news for your trans, and of course, don't tow on any tune.
