whats your choice of car?

Been thinking a lot about my cars and how many directions you could take when you mod a car.

Do you prefer a mint/clean modded car, violent car that scares woman and children or a sleeper that sounds and looks stock but hauls? If you don't prefer any of those what do you prefer? Jeeps?

i like a car that looks stock....but scares even the owner when he/she fires it up.

other than that, the current body style Sierra HD with a small lift kit and a Duramax

Depends on intended use. What I want from a daily driver is much different from a track car, for instance.

a car that looks stock with some minor visual cues that even when sitting in the parking lot you can tell some work has been done underneath. When its on the street it makes people turn and try to figure out where its coming from.

It has to be something I enjoy driving. More power is nice as long as there aren't more headaches and terrible gas mileage. RWD is great 99% of the time but when we get some solid snow it sucks knowing you can't go anywhere. I loved the supercharged 93 Indy Pace Car I had that was my daily driver, but again, in snow it was worthless. The 91 454SS was a great truck but worthless in the snow. The Tacomas and 4Runners I've had made great daily drivers but had no power to even pull out in traffic. My current 2001 Silverado with the 5.3 is a great combination of power and 4WD and a comfortable truck loaded with options. I still miss have a Camaro to drive though.

Yup. Nobody wants to take their car with a nice paint job to a busy supermarket, etc.

I ended up with an 89' GMC S15. Its got a worked over 350 in it, but the exterior and interior are bone stock. Its a sleeper so long as its not running, but with the dual 3in Violators its kinda loud.

I'm talking about hobby cars. In my opinion I like all three.

Buba remember that nova with the cage that you couldn't see and rust on the body and stock wheels? I believe it was turboed and sounded stock. My definition of a sleeper.

That was W2W powertrain's car. The wheels were not pure stock- they were widened factory wheels.

I seem to like vehicles that appear to have had better days but at the same time scare little children. Don't ever see the point in owning a mint vehicle cause I beat on everything and ruin it anyway.

Thats why I like stock wheels, fools people into thinking its pretty much stock until it puts a 10 on the board

I also like daily drivers to be subtle but fun to drive like my AMG

This. While I haven't finished building a car yet, any car I build I want to be drivable. That means I want it to look awesome, have some ballz but still be able to drive cross country without issue. I don't want to take a race car on the HR Power Tour.

i'm leaning more towards a clean car, though tasteful mods that to the untrained eye it could have been factory.

oh and a good flowing quiet exhaust with a cutout

Lately, I like the beater look with a nice chassis and power train under it. Unless you are taking your car to a show or parking it in a driveway, its hard to own something nice. A lot of people just see a car as a means of transportation and don't have regard for someone's pride and joy parked next to them.
