and its because of that that I say go 5% all the way around. A tint ticket is a tint ticket no matter how light it is. Its a $54 ticket and id be alittle proactive a get the nj fop plates, helps a ton (atleast in south jersey it does)
My old camaro below in the sig was 5% onthe sides and back

oh i forgot to say, the %'s is the light aloud through from the outside, but really has nothing to do with the ability to see out from inside the car. Your are not going to notice much if any diff between 5% and 25%. I went from 15% to 5% when I had to rip it off for inspection and its seemed to be just the same.
ttop have the factory tint right, or dot matrix if its a 94

I got two tint tickets in a week before, first was 54, second was like 80-90$.
i was also with a friend when we got pulled over. the cop actually made him peel the tint off right there on the roadside, or loose his inspection sticker, his choice.

I definately wouldnt do the sides...i had a few fbods that were terrorised daily for full tinted cars...it already attracts attention as it is...imo you'll be wasting your money because eventually youll have to pull it off.

daskinnyguy, your car is badass looking, i want those rims for my car, how much did you pay for them?
and about the tint, i deffinatly want to be able to see out at night that is a main concern b.c its my daily driver. I have a few fop cards and my cousin is a cop so id be able to get out of a ticket depending on what town its in and if the cop is an ass.

if you want good visibility, i'd go over 15% on the sides. back i'd definitely do 5% no matter what. headlights through the rear window blow

if the nj fop plates you are talking about are the ones with the shield that says 'the price of honor', i hear cops do look harder at those cars. anyone can get those plates if they just walk into a dmv. my friends never have any problems with firefighter plates, pba plates, or fmba plates..you can only get those if you are in the organization though.

http://www.tintlaws.com/laws/NJ/
i had my car broken in too many time that's why i put the tints on
front 35% sides 20% rear 20%
one was in front of the Elizabeth court house( and it took 30 min for a cop to get there) a other was in union they busted my T-tops.
then in Camden NJ they tried to bust the ignition.
last time was in shorthills..
everytime i cop pulls me over i just say you guys can't protect me or my car form being broken into so i had too. most of the time they let me go . i just keep the police reports in the car as a reminder for me.
