Car STILL not running

For anyone that has been following my rant this has been going on for nearly 8? months now x.X

long story short car broke replaced some stuff that needed and some stuff that needed to be upgraded

Cam
Valvesprings
Lifters
Pushrods
Rocker Arms
Oil Pump
Timing chain set including gears
All necessary gaskets
Long tube headers
Y pipe

Sooo i did the cam swap and everything. Buttoned the car up car wouldnt start. took it apart checked timing was off by one tooth. Corrected that. Took off the heads to check for any possible damage everything was fine.

So i buttoned it all up again started but ran really rough for about 30 seconds then died. So i had foff come up and throw in a tune for me (awesome guy btw) didnt start. Bill was there for maybe 4 hours trying to get this car to start that day. Finally we just put it back to a stock tune and he went home.

Had the car towed back to my house for easy access to it (was at my friends dads house). As it sits the car right now will just make an exhaust note while turning over but not start.

So far i have checked Physical timing 6 times (yes i took all those accessories off 6 times in less then 6 months lol). Checked cam and crank sensor both tested good.

Replaced PCM (bottom plug was all corroded whoever messed with it last never put the seal back in so it was all messed up. Put a stock tune on that computer using my hptuners.

Still just the exhaust note.

Someone on ls1tech suggested that my VATS might be the culprit at this point.

Did a VATS relink with hptuners worked instantly.

Tried doing it manually supposedly the security light stays on when vats is messed up after u try and start it which mine doesn't.

Im at my whits end with this car if its not running by march i might just part it out at this point.

/end rant if anyone has any suggestions whatsoever im all ears i cant stand driving my accord home every night just to see the ws6 sit in the driveway.

Sorry, I haven't followed this. But, I assume you checked all the basics such as fuel pressure, spark, injector pulse?

Rockers on too tight, keeping the valves open? NO compression means it'll crank over but not start.

Thats what mine is doing. Need to back off the rockers then hand tighten, turn the crank over by hand to close the valves, then try starting.

if they are stock style rockers, like the HS rebuilds, there is no adjustment.

what camshaft? i remember reading on LS1tech a while ago about a cam manufacturer that did something screwed up and stuff was 180 degrees out, i think a simple fix was to cut and switch 2 wires on the cam sensor.

when you unhooked everything, are you sure yopu reconnected all ground straps.

im just tryign to think what it could be...

Edit: i dont mind ppl making the "dumb" suggestions such as check this little thing or that cause i may have overlooked something at one point and i do check everything suggested

What kind of spark test did you do? If you were only checking to see if it had spark that might not be enough. You gotta check for the intensity of the spark which means you have a bad coil. I know it sounds like simple ****, but sometimes it's the simplest thing that'll screw you over.

I'm really trying to think hard at what could be wrong. Have you tried a cylinder leakage test?

Also check your neutral saftey switch. Idk, I can't think of anything else that you haven't already mention.

I "think" he had a cam sensor code as well as a couple of others...I'd have to look over his info...there were some hoses that were cracked/broken at the time as well, just alot of unknowns really at the time.

His cam was very similar to my old one ~231/237 595/595 112 LS1, but his was an m6...really shouldve started/idled etc. on the stock tune just fine...with my 550 idle in my A4 my cam idled just fine so I was stumped as to why his wouldnt.

I don't think anything was broken...as far as I know he just had someone do a cam swap for him & it would start but die after like 30 seconds.
