so I got to ride in a tow truck tonight...
damnit!!!!!!!!
went for a little ride to see if fixed my rubbing problem i encountered with the new rear, drove to flemington, saw wretched73 and chatted for a few down the road from rita's, and headed home. I get to the circle, and the car just died, right on the frigging circle.... Took a minute just to get it so start again, and it didn't sound just right, figured i would stay off the highway, so i shot over to 523 to head home. I get about a mile down the road and notice my lights are a little dim, then I look and OMFG!!! my temp gauge is pegged hot. Pull over shut it off, i could hear coolant boiling, and finally it blew the overflow cap. Coolant all over the road. Pop the hood to find that i broke a belt, right it half, pretty clean break. Im fricken pissed, and i forgot to bring my phone, figures. So i got to go knocking on doors in a development, then if this wasnt bad enough, i forgot to put the car in gear, the road was kinda flat, and i was just too pissed and forgot. So anyway, i get about 100 feet from the car and hear it start to roll. Panic took over and i started running to it but didnt make it until it had rolled 6 feet or and kissed a guard rail , so now untop of the other problem, now i scrapped up the corner of my bumper and put a nice scrape and a dent in the @^$%ing fender!
What a wonderful evening.... So i wait for almost an hour for a tow, and just got home.
Im soo pissed right now and freaking out that i may have hurt the motor, it didnt over heat long, maybe a mile or two, and i started it to move it off the guard rail and is ran fine. I have to look it over tomorrow, check the oil, pull the plugs and check for head gasket leaks, my god this sucks, if i blew something im going to just die.
and i will also have to head back to the body shop and see what this will cost to fix.

unlikely....
Maybe if the motor checks out, i can swing by there tommorow and see what he can do. I guess this is a good excuse to fix a couple little chips and things elsewhere on the car.

i havent taken it to a shop yet, i had Chris's Auto on 179 in west amwell do the body and paint before, i was planning to take it there is they aren't swamped. Its not really that bad, im sure the fender will have to come off to get the crease/dent out, and paint for the bumper and fender.
did you have someone in mind bill?

Holy ****, it did seem like there was something weird when you tried starting it in the parking lot. I really hope everything is ok.

there is no choke, so it can be a little rough to start sometimes, think i may have a small vapor lock issue too.
I pulled plugs, check the oil, filled the coolant and started it, fired right up! No steam/smoke from the pipes, nothing leaking and it sounds normal so it seems that everything is OK, thank god!! . so now i just have to take it over to the shop after work this week sometime and see what my repair bill is for the fender.
