I'm 34, but still feel like I did at 21. My hair is going gray, but other than that, I look the same as I did back then.

I'm 17. Bought my 86 Z28 from my parents, after it sat in the driveway for 5 or more years. Its not in the best condition, but it does run; just needs some stuff. so im stuck driving my dads 03 Mustang, which absolutely blows

hahah we salute you. its a great feeling isnt it when you work real hard and get your reward, in yours and my case a camaro. my brother bought an $18,000 vette when he turned 21 and was saving up for a long time, after buying me my first honda and helping my parents out of debt, and paying for his sophmore through senior year in college, he could have had a vette at 18 if he didnt...

but the morale of the story is hard work does pay off

Personal preference comes into play for most of this. From my perspective I would take the V6 Mustang because:

1. I do NOT like third gens, not even a little bit.
2. Mustang is 17 years newer, no matter how much you hate ford I will bet that a car that is 17 years younger, on average, will give you a lot less problems than a car that is 17 years older.
3. Better gas mileage. (EPA 20/29mpg)
4. Better resale value, while '03 v6 mustang is only worth a few grand on average 3rd gen will not touch its price in most cases.
5. As I stated before, third gens make me think of trailer parks.

1. You're 16, you lack judgment.
2. Unless you are towing something, pick ups are impractical.
