does Bank 1 Sensor 1 mean drivers side?

I got code P0135b "1 heated oxygen sensor heater performance bank 1 sensor 1"

so i suppose i have to change it out but i wanted to be sure which one it was.

Bank 1 corresponds to cylinder 1, bank 2 is the opposite bank which isn't necessarily cylinder 2.

For your 2000 SS, bank 1 is the driver side o2 yes. It is also referring to the o2 in front of the cat.

Before you assume it's the sensor, swap it out with the passenger side O2. If the problem follows the sensor, obviously the sensor is bad. If the same code comes up, you've got other issues to track down.
