I am headed up to Jersey this thursday and will be there until next thursday... anyone know if Island will be open? also how much does it cost to run there and do i need to bring a helmet? I want to get some times in the GTO where its a little less humid!

As long as the weather is good, they will be running Test & Tune on Friday, Sunday, and Wednesday (at the BBQ).
You will need a Snell approved helmet to run.

I believe the rule is long pants and at least a t shirt.

Wed BBQ is test and tune yes. I forget, but I believe it's 10-15 to race and eat on those days.
Regular Friday street legal test and tune is 25 to race.
Sunday test and tune was 35.
And at Island you will get 5x as many runs in as Etown from what I've heard.

Yea, the Wednesday BBQ @ Island is a great deal. $15 to get in, and as many passes as you can get from 4:00 pm to sundown. All you can eat BBQ, and you can BYOB (can't start drinking until you are done racing though).

I'll be there friday with my Nova. I got there when the gates opened, last year with my Camaro and I got 12 runs. You will definately get more for your money at Island.

What's up, I just got back from Island. I got 9 runs even with taking some time to tune. Didn't get too much bite off the line but it was a good day out. Best e.t. 10.59 best m.p.h. 124.76. We still have some work to do but it's a good start.
