33s Question

Truck rear tire developed a bubble and the wire is showing in a spot, so I guess I gotta get new tire(s).

As much as I want to, I am not gonna get new rims, so I need a 33x12.5 tire, D load range or higher.

Truck is never off roaded and I would prefer a street tire over the current procomps.

Suggestions and what not are very much appreciated, lets here what you have to off jeep owners.

I've had a couple of sets of BFG All Terrain KO's that lasted long. They were good off road for All Terrains and had the knobby sidewalls that made them look like more like a mud terrain.

BFG a/t ko is the same tire as the general grabber at2 but the general is 30% cheaper. I run the bfg myself. Get an all terrain tire as its quieter on the highway than a mud terrain but still great off road/winter.

Love the NIttos on my old Dmax...but wore rather quickly.
Hate the BfGs
I gotta agree with Chris (NJusedpartswhore) that the GY silent armors are the way to go. Got 3 other my buddies running them with lots of mileage,.

Do NOT go with a general grabber, they are cheaper but not a good tire. They have had lots of problems and left me on the side of the road after only about 2 months of having them, after the tread shretted apart.

Yea the others have some weird wear patterns going on, Adam pointed that out. I am gonna throw the spare on maybe this weekend and hopefully pick up a set of tires in July.

Just wanna find a good set of tires that won't lessen the trucks ability to tow, and if I can get a more "street" oriented tire that'd be nice.

285/70-17 Seems to be correct, and I would imagine highest load will be a D since its a big tire.

My dad likes the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 2s he has on his 2500HD. A good "road" all terrain tire.

So the question now is, do I replace em all or just buy a cheap replacement tire for the dead one and drive it till I can do all four at once?

How much life is on the other 3? I noticed your WTB ad and thought WTF, as you aren't supposed to ever replace just one due to handling funkiness. Maybe just replace 2 if money is tight.
