Smile split rear seat question

Can anyone provide a photo or describe how the bracket that connects the split rear seat is supposed to attach. I just converted from a one piece seat. Thanks, Steve.

I added this to my 82 when I swapped interiors. I basically just eyeballed it and screwed it in. I did have to drill out the 2 spot welds that held the bracket in the donor car.

Put the seat backs in, then move the middle bracket until you get them stright & even. Mark it, drill it, screw it in.

You can get that bar off. IIRC, it is spot welded on with a single spot weld on each side. I remember just kinda prying/chiseling it off, I don't think I even drilled it.
