Need A good Carb engine tuning shop / classic car mechanic (N Jersey)

Hello all
Name is Trey New to the north Jersey area (West Orange). Just moved up from Miami.
I'm an owner of a 69 Camaro that had been restored and I recently had the entire motor rebuilt up to a 356.

I'm in need a a good tuner that work on carbureted engines. Have a nice holley but really need someone to get the timing perfect, check it all out to have it running smooth and timed right. Also may need some light carb work.
As well as a general mechanic type that works on older cars.

I'm located in West Orange NJ and looking to take it to a good expreinced shop soon willing to travel a little bit if the shop is great but also looking for a good local place for minor thing.

Greatly appreciate any advice, leads or suggestions in the area to take it to.
Trey B

Bruce's Speed Shop in Rockaway, NJ does good carb tweaking and has a dyno w/ wide-band O2.

this shop did some tuning on my dads carb..he says the work was excellent and noticed the difference right away.. for what its worth his lot usually has some muscle cars in it, so he seems to stay busy and get business..

Thanks all for the advice. This was originally my fathers
Car he brought it when I was a kid and it sat for many years.
He started the rebuild after we got to college
Had a few good years to enjoy it but passed.

I have done a ton of work to get it right over the last
4 years to complete his dream most recently
The rebuilt 356.

Here is a quick preview of where it started.
Look foward to meeting you all

We don't do much along the lines of carb tuning however can help you out with any other future restoration needs as well as other mechanical work. Check out our website in the link below.

Trey, great color combo, I'm kinda partial to Hugger orange 69s myself A friend had his stock 69 Z tuned and carb dialed in at Bitner automotive in Trenton http://bitnerautomotive.com/ and had nothing but good things to say. A bit of hike from West Orange, but just in case you were looking for other shops.

Thanks all for the feedback. I found a nice local place in Livingston NJ called the trans shop. The owner jeff is really nice an a old school gear head guy. He knows his stuff. Very open etc. Since I rebuilt the motor decided to replace pretty much anything else that was old on the car so I can expect it to run like new. I ordered all the parts on line at cost he's doing the labor. Even though the old stuff works i dont want anymore surpises.

So the final things on the list. Full magnaflow exhaust system (lifetime Warrenty. Rear disk break conversion. Did the fronts last year. New stainless gas tank, new stainless fuel lines, new 4 line radiator 23 inch, new air condensor and dryer, 3 point retractable front seatbelts, rear seat belts.

He tuned the carb and it's sounding sweet.
It's going to be nice and ready for the nicer weather.
Thanks again all for the advice.

Car is still in the shop all of the parts came in last week
A few more this week. If all get done on time I may but probally next month
Pending the location will be better. I'm still on the first 500 miles on the new engine rebuild. The builder said to lay off the long steady highway runs for awhile until everything is broken in. If I was still in miami it would have been fine up here it's been sitting a few months.
