May Car Of The Month submissions

Anyone can post one photograph of only their Camaro or Firebird in this thread. Photographs of multiple cars or cars with models will not be accepted.

Please include your real name and a short paragraph (at least a few sentences) describing the ongoing project(s) being done to the car and/or a short story about the car as well.

If this is not posted in this thread by the time voting begins, your car will not be included in the vote.

All submitted pictures should be a minimum size of 640 x 480, as this is the size of the image that will be posted on the home page. If you aren't sure of the size, post it up the largest image you have (within reason), or send a private message to me for assistance.

At the last week of the month we will post a poll that will last for one week and the winner will get to spend the following month showcased on the home page of the site. Past winning cars (regardless of ownership changes) will not be eligible to enter again for 24 months.

Any pic considered poor quality by staff (blurry, cell phone, etc) will be ignored in COTM voting.

Please limit this thread to posts submitting pictures only. Comments and other chit-chat will be removed and offending users will be penalized.

1994 Camaro Z28

This Camaro is my first car, which picked this car up in September of 2010 for $3000. Since that time I have worked long, hard hours to be able to afford the modifications I have made. Some of them include : Pacesetter LTs, 3" true duals, Nitrous Outlet Plate Kit, some suspension pieces, and some shiney underhood goodies. So far, the car has made a best pass of 12.93 @ 106.4 and put down 293/338 to the wheels, both on motor. My goals for this year are to break 400rwhp and 11.99 on spray.

1995 Pontiac Trans Am M6

I traded my '97 GTP for this car about a year ago from a member. It had recently had a fresh engine, trans and clutch put in (12k miles ago) and I was looking for a change. It was in pretty good shape but needed a new opti, iac, wp, O2 sensors, and cats to run right and pass inspection. Now it runs like the LT1 equivalent of a swiss watch. Ha. It has a typical load of out mods: Moroso intake/TB coolant bypass, AIR/EGR delete, 160 thermo, PCMforless tune, MSD coil/wires, Pacesetter headers, WBT 3" metallic catted y and Hooker catback. It came with BMR SFC's and LCAs, and not too much has been done to the suspension other than a complete brake rebuild, line lock, and an adjustable PHB. Future plans are to do a suspension and rear end rebuild, but no rush. It's almost summertime.

1995 Z28 Camaro. Currently car is not running, ironicly, not due to anything related to an optispark. After a few years of trying to fix a heads/cam car, finally threw in the towel and decided to go big. New motor, and turbo kit are sitting waiting to be installed, new transmission will be arriving sometime in May and then we shall see how fast we can make this poor ole 10 bolt go.

My name is James Newcomb. I bought this car back in January on a cold rainy day. It is originally from Florida, it's a 2000 SS, automatic, T-tops, power seat/windows, leather seats. It came to me with a magnaflow catback, edelbrock stainless steel shorty headers and a volant cold air kit.

Hey all. My name is Rick Rotondo. This is my 2nd f-body (first was a 4th Gen LT1 Camaro). Last summer I decided my BMW E36 M3 was too slow and I wanted something faster. After searching Autotrader for a month or two I finally found my current TA. It had 86,000 miles at that time. Just rolled over to 99,000 today. It's not my daily driver :O Current mods are: K&N FIPK, Flowmaster, 3" QTP e-cutout, 17x11" rear TT2's with 315/35R17 Nitto NT555's, 17x9.5" front with 245/45R17" BFG's, I've also installed a custom Hella 60mm headlight setup with projector HID lows and freeform projector highs, Powerslot & Centric rotors and pads, etc. I currently have quad tips sitting at my desk ready for installation. My other current project is replacing all worn OE parts, mainly weatherstripping and seals. Tracking it for the first time this year, tomorrow. Oh, and my birthday is in May lol.

1994 Z28 A4 Hardtop

This is my new baby. Purchased for $2500 on 4/11/12. 200,000 miles and runs like a raped ape. You would never know this car has that many miles. I dumped my 87 IROC 5.7l because it needed too much love for me right now. This will be F-Body number 4 for me, and I dont care if the motor goes tomorrow, the body is in too good of shape to junk. Previous owner installed some mods like Hotchkis drop springs, ls1 front brakes, strut bar, heavy duty 4l60 trans, trans cooler, k&n intake, edelbrock headers and y-pipe with a new cat and flowmaster american thunder exhaust, 160 stat, 2002 ss wheels, complete msd ignition, couple other little things im forgetting at the moment. Doesn't burn a drop of oil, antifreeze, or drip any trans or rear fluid. Future mods include BLS projectors, maybe longtubes, o/r y-pipe, a different slightly louder exhaust, definately more suspension work (needs adjustable panhard etc.) and cleaning the paint up more. Wife is now once again jelly of my car because it gets more attention than her, but my daughter loves it already. Hope to finally get to some meets soon, and show this one off.

Out of my many cars that I have had, this one is one that I will never get rid of. I purchased the car 7 years ago while I was in the marines, bought it from the original owner. I plan on leaving it stock, its only mods are slp lid, exhaust, and aftermarket brakes all around.

This is my 2000 bluegreen chameleon firebird. I have owned this car for a year now. It is bone stock and is my baby. It might be only a 3.8 but the carturns heads all the time. My plans as of now if to get some motor work done to it,possibly an exhaust, and new tires.

This is my 92 RS, shes a little bit of a project right now but the only thing really left to do right now is to swap out the trans and get the exhaust on and I have a standard 2 inch cowl hood that i have to strip down and paint to replace the turbo hood in which i hate. all and all she has been coming along pretty well considering I have only been working on her about a month

My name is Ryan and this is my 01 Z28 6 speed.I bought it in october of 2008 and it currently has about 145,000 on it. This is my first LS car that i have owned and i love it.Its still pretty much bone stock minus the free mods and an SLP lid. it has a monster level 2 clutch kit with slave.i also have powdercoated black with a brushed lip ss 10 spokes an slp grille with ss spoiler and my ss hood .I do have lots of plans for it such as heads cam and full bolt ons. I picked up this car in Jacksonville FL and it was a FL car its entire life before i came back to jersey. I got the car for a steal we traded even trade for my girls 02 honda civic. when they said even trade i never looked back.
