3.42 Ring & pinions specs, need help.

I'm getting ready to setup my spare rear with 3.42 gears. I already gutted out the internals a while back, which put me in a tight spot. I need the specs for factory backlash and pinion depth and the carrier shim thickness for left and right hand side. Since our rears came 3.42 from the factory, I'm sure someone can pull up some numbers, I just can't seem to find them.

i dont know if there is an exact shim thickness. i think you're going to have to play with it (by painting the ring and seeing where the pinion gear rides on)

Carrier shim thickness will not be the same for every axle.

Yea ur gonna have to mess around with it. If there worn gears u wanna get the marking paint and get it as close to the wear pattern on the gears.
