comp cams xr276hr
comp cams 1.6 ratio roller rockers
comp hydraulic lifters

I hope that thing isn't in the basement lol. I would love to see the car once you got her all back together. Mine is pretty much ready except for a couple things like a tune and a new convertible top

The number that I can get from the bottom of the piston is 101v13 mahle. I know that's not the p/n but from what I can gather 4 reliefs 4-6cc volume.

And yes it's in the basement lol. We will be able to carry it up though. I hope to have it in the car by the end of the month.

Mad man lol. I hump motors around but wouldn't chance it going up a flight of stairs. I'd be assembling my motor in my kitchen before I did that lol.

Gotcha. I was just checking b/c the old L98 short block from GM was a 9:1 engine with 64cc heads.

went with a smaller head gasket .015, piston is .026 in the hole. so i got the quench right at .041 and bumped compression. i think the stock head gasket is .038? im not sure. but according to my calculation compression should be right around 10.5

Perfect, my 1094s work great

The old L98 pistons were 4 valve relief but also a -12cc dish. That was the killer.

Can't tell if troll or srs about the 1094s.

From my understanding it's a late l98. The number on the pistons cross reference to lt1s too so I assume it's the later style.

Serious, they seal great (knock on wood).

That's cool man. Wasn't trying to bust balls, just checking since it's still a bit early.

if you were curious 224-3497 is the p/n for the pistons. they were oem in LT1/LT4, L98 and many other engines, dish volume is 6.5-7cc 4 reliefs.

The 1094's don't need copper coating. Technically they are shims not gaskets but being rubber coated they will seal up.
The non coated metal ones are the scary ones to seal lol. Spray the piss outta them with copper coat on one side, let it get tacky, hold it and spray the other side. I think the smallest shims I've ever used were .008" because I was trying to tighten up the quench on a n2o motor.

they do make some that are very nice, but i play to really lower it in the future so i want to save some ground clearance. also my budget is very tight until OCMD i cant afford them even if i wanted right now.

if you can tell in the pic, you can see they are all banged up. they are the same headers the p/o i just painted them

I've never seen a set that fit nice on any lowered 3rd gen on 4th gen LT1. On my lowered LT1 the collectors are about 2.5" off the ground.
