Blu-ray is fine I think. So of you have a broken ps3 it may work

SlowV6 - buying the BR drive will not mean you can take it home, hook it up to your TV and watch movies on it...

No way!! I didnt realize that!!
I was thinking of getting it for a backup for when my PS3's BR player goes out.. Do you think it will work in a PS3?? I was asking because if it doesnt play PS3 games, Which are BR disks then I wonder if it will play BR movies!!
