Poll: Voting for December 2016 COTM!

You know the drill: Pick your favorite & vote in the poll! Voting will close on Monday, January 9th, when a winner will be announced.

Thanks to everyone who posted up for December. It's awesome to see how many hidden gems we have here in the NJFBOA!

1. Joe - MDSheds SS
1999 Chevy Camaro Z/28

Just your average street car that does racecar **** on the reg. Performance upgrades in progress.

2. Nick - Anti Rice Guy
1995 Chevy Camaro Z/28 Convertible

Car was purchased in 2001 off of a used car lot while on vacation. Within the first month it got the stripes, chrome 16" Trans Am wheels, a high flow cat/catback, CAI, and a Hypertech programmer. Since then, the only addition has been three-point subframe connectors.

In the meantime, it's been a lovely cruiser, roaming the curvy roads of Northwest NJ and the shoreline.

3. Brian - Blackbirdws6
1997 Pontiac Trans Am WS.6

The car has been in the family since new and has evolved most significantly since 2010. What started as an air filter/muffler/shifter led to head/cam/n2o and now an all boost setup. The engine is a fully forged 383 built originally by me but recently by Ellwein Engines. It features a Callies Dragonslayer crank, Callies rods, custom Diamond pistons, and Lloyd Elliot cam/heads/ported intake in a splayed 4-bolt block. Dyno and track results can be found in my sig. Behind the engine is a McLeod Street twin clutch, Hinson shifter, "Level 3" T56 built by Tick and later refreshed by Hanlon followed by a Strange 3" DS and S60 rear. 80lb sticks provide the fuel with a Lonnies Double Pumper setup in the tank. Suspension is entirely aftermarket with a bunch of powdercoated tubes and knobs I don't know how to adjust properly. The car is full weight with A/C plus a few lbs for all of the supporting mods. It's a street car that likes to play race car once or twice a year.

4. Mike - Maroman88
1997 Pontiac Trans Am WS.6

'97 TA WS6 M6 Borla

5. Mario - WSex
1973 Chevy Camaro LT

I didn't deserve this car.

6. Josh - 97Camaro
1997 Chevy Camaro Z/28

7. Larry - TAKid455
1981 Pontiac Trans Am NASCAR Pace Car

1981 Trans Am Nascar Pace car. 1 of 2000. 66k miles unrestored car. 301 Turbo 210 hp/ 345 TQ. Car runs and drives like new. Interior is like new and is what makes these cars. Really neat time capsule to cruise around.

8. Keith - The Bishop
1998 Chevy Camaro Z/28

My '98 Z-28, in bright purple metallic.
1998:
-431 were coupes and 50 were convertibles, totaling 481
-ZERO Camaro Z28s with the 1LE package came in this color
-ZERO B4C police package Camaros came in this color
-THIRTY FOUR came with the Y3F Sport Appearance Package (in other words, 34 total V6 Camaros AND Z28 Camaros in this color came with what we all call RS ground effects and spoiler add-on. RS was not available in 1998. The Y3F package was more than just ground effects for the V6 Camaros. It was P235/55R16 tires, 16" aluminum 5 spoke wheels, and then the ground effects and spoiler add-on. The Z28s already came with those wheels, so for them, it was just ground effects and spoiler add-on.)
-Of the 431 coupes, 95 were Z28s
-Of the 50 convertibles, 14 were Z28s
-This makes a total of 109 Z28s
-ZERO SSes were this color

9. Jake - qwikz28
2002 Chevy Camaro Z/28 H/C/I M6

Action shot picked from a video.

congrats buddy. I'll never understand how you brought that car out on the snow covered ground without snow in the tire treads and such a clean paint job.

Thanks!

That snow was largely ice, was working on another car in the garage under the house so for a few days the Camaro was living in the carport tent you see.

That pic is deceptive, the paint is original from 1998 and it shows when you're close enough. I keep it up as best I can, and it's due for another good clean/polish/wax job come springtime.
