Its an 86 firebird with a 2.8 v6 and 700r4 automatic. It currently has 140k miles, and runs pretty good.
~The Bad~
The car has a slight leak from the front of the transmission, and would be fixed with a new seal. I don't have the time to drop the trans out of it though.
The tops drip in heavy rain. Not too noticeable, but when it rains heavily the seat will get wet
The rear hatch motor doesn't work, and hasn't since i've had it.
~The Good/Replaced~
-New front Calipers
-New front brake pads
-Junk yard fuel injectors-old ones were plugged
-New injector o-rings
-Junk yard center console
-Junk yard shifter, the old one was mangled
-I just replaced the fuel pump, in tank harness, fuel strainer, and fuel filter right before I took it off the road.
-Repaired the fuel level sending unit, it was gunked up
-New headlight relays
-New poly sway bar end links front and back
-New Bosch O2 sensor
-Paint was non-existent when I bought it, so I did a quickie paint job that isn't professional, but a heck of a lot better than what it had
-New outter window seals
-The car got hit by a 3/4 ton truck while it was parked at low speed. I patched the door with some bondo, repainted it, and it doesn't look 100%, but its way better than it was. It really needs a new door which I'm in the process of finding one.
-Most vacuum lines replaced
-No check engine light
-Firm brake pedal
-Decent running engine
-About 20-25 mpg
-New e-brake cable for the drivers side-the old one was frozen and wouldnt release
-The dash pad was cracked so I covered it with some fabric I had.
-I covered the rear speaker panels with the same fabric since they were pretty rough
-New windshield washer pump
-I added the center console light for when you open the glove box, since it didn't have one-looks factory
-I've had it for only about 10k miles, but it has had the oil changed every 3k. I use castrol GTX 10w30 and Fram tough guard oil filters
-Car has T-Tops
-Car burns NO oil, does not smoke.
I would like to sell this car, but I don't need it gone immediately. I'm asking 1000 firm, and I won't take any less.
This car would make a great v8 swap candiate, or a high school sports car. Thats basically why I got it. It was used as a daily driver, but it's not needed anymore.
