EGR Trouble Code

Ever since I had this car, only when I'm cruising down the highway, it gives me a SES. I just checked it today and its giving me code 32 (EGR Failure). Can anybody explain to me if its just the valve, or what, cuz im clueless. I wouldnt know what to replace. Thanks

chances are the valve is either getting stuck open or stuck closed. id say it gets stuck closed. the thing opens up at cruising rpms to allow come exhaust gasses to be broguth back through the intake causing a more efficient burn the second time around...decreasing emissions. they tend to get gummed up over time, especially on thirdgens...mine had the same problem...it would throw the code while cruising. now i only have it on the engine for looks.

although on cold start the comp still throws a code 32..cant quite figure that out.
