Thumbs up PONTIAC DAY @ RACEWAY PARK ON JUNE 28TH!

This Saturday is the Show N' Go at Raceway Park. Nice show and plenty of classes for Drag Racing. Always a decent amount of cars in both events.

I'll try to bring the Bird, but the weather looks like temps in the low 90's with thunder storms floating around. Might just bring the '95 Grand Am GT 6 cylinder for the Drags. Last year my son went to the finals with this car. When you have a complete done up Show car, it is hard to want to take it out if there is a chance of rain because of all the work that goes into doing the undercarriage and such. Just driving threw a downpour could cause enough mess so that it takes quite a bit of work to bring it back up to show standards.

Well the forcast dosent look terrible so far. This show has always had notoriously bad weather. No matter what time of year they have held it I only remember a few days where we didnt have to worry about the weather. From Snow to showers to scorching heat this show has managed to get it all in, haha.

Ed, I totally understand about the weather. If the 25th were to encounter a puddle I may have a heart attack. Fortunetly the Comp was undercoated at the dealer when new (a blessing in disguise really...no need to wax the underside of the floor )

Would love to be there, but I SWEAT like someone has a fire hose on me. It's going to be VERY HUMID and temps in the low 90's. When you race and win a round, you have to come back to the staging lanes and wait hours sometime for the next round. That's where is can really get to you because of the heat coming off the asphalt and NO SHADE. I'am going to pass on this because it's just not fun for me to sweat for over 6 hours. Hope everybody that goes wins something LOL!

Dont let it get to you! If you go to enough shows you will see that the nicest car dosent always win.

Besides it is more fun to meet new people and check out cool cars.

I took 3rd place. I would have had second but they got me on a few dirty parts. And I cant compete with a car that has 200,000 thousand dollars in it. That winged riced out firebird took 1st.
