Throttle Bodies & Me

How would a BBK 58mm Throttle Body work on my fairly stock car?

And would it help or hurt when I go forced induction in December?

it'll help w/ the forced induction but your better off goin 52mm since then you dont have to port the intake manifold...also the gains wont be that much goin from 52 to 58

dont step up to a 58 until you are force fed or have extra cubes etc....a 52 isnt really needed either, the stock 48 can handle a good amount of power, you can also get your stocker ported to 52, theres a guy on cz28 that does it, name escapes me at the moment

The guys on the thirdgen.org Message Board swear the 48mm is good until you're making something in the area of 450 hp. Save your money for a set of headers. That's a bolt-on with real performance increase.

The 48 is said to be good to about 400 at the wheels.......take it for what it's worth.

In any case, a larger TB on a mostly stock car is pretty much pointless. I wouldn't even consider it until you're running a big cam or a head/cam setup.
