need help with lights...

when i got my durango the speedo didnt work and it had abs light, check engine light, and parking brake light...

now i read online that its the trans and rear differential speed sensors that get rid of all of it... correct, all lights are gone until i start driving..shifts funny and check engine light comes on again so imma return that sensor in the trans and get a new one...

not so much my problem.

the main problem is i have no brake lights now...fuses all good, didnt cut any wires...replaced the switch by the pedal...all light bulbs are good...and there id no power at all going to the switch...

it has power to the fuse box, fuses are good, and no power to the switch tho... parkings lights/blinkers work...just no brake lights.

now is it possible to just run a power cable from somewhere else to the switch and it will work or no? cuz when u hit the pedal it grounds itself and turns on the lights. so basicly all it needs is power...no?
