1940 Cadillac Lasalle

After a rough weekend I came into work on Monday morning to find this waiting for me to work on.

The car was completely restored by my grandfather about 10 years ago before he passed away. Only thing original to the car is probably the body and some of the frame. It has a Cadillac Northstar in front of a 700R4 trans and the rear end out of a Jaguar along with a full airbag suspension.

The current owner brought it in because the engine is giving him issues and he mentioned that he is looking to sell the car. If I had $35k I would happily give up my other cars to make room for this one.

Nice! When I was a little kid my grandfather had one parked next to his barn. We use to play "driving" in it all the time.

Really nice.

Are you still working in the building of the former pontiac dealer? I see a 1341343 year old alignment machine!

Feather-light suspension, Konis just couldn't hold. I'm so glad I took a look inside your showroom doors.

Hey everybody, it's good to have you on the Baba-too-da-ba-too-ba-ba-buh-doo-ga-ga-bop-a-dop

Yea, were still here at the same building. We are now an AcDelco service center, things are moving slow but it seems like my boss has some plans.

The alignment rack is from the 50's and it still works. I don't think I'd trust an alignment done on it but we use the pit for diagnosing noises.
