April Car of the Month Submissions
Anyone can post one picture of only their Camaro or Firebird in this thread.
Please include your name and a short paragraph describing the mods done to the car and/or a short story about the car as well.
If this is not posted in this thread by the time voting begins, your car will not be included in the vote.
At the last week of the month we will post a poll that will last for one week and the winner will get to spend the following month showcased on the home page of the site. Past winners will not be eligible to win again for 12 months.
All submitted pictures should be a minimum size of 640 x 480, as this is the size of the image that will be posted on the home page. If you aren't sure of the size, post it up the largest image you have (within reason).
If you have submitted a car in the past, but were not selected as a winner, feel free to submit another pic. You can continue to enter each month until you win.
GET THOSE SUBMISSIONS IN!!!

I bought this 6 speed 2000 WS6 two years ago with 35,000 miles on it. This car has been through a lot of changes since then. I have tinted the windows, added the front plate cover, lowered 1", painted the calipers, and I have replaced the entire interior from tan, to ebony. Performance wise there is not a lot done, I have a small cam, full exhaust, and 4.10 gears, along with a centerforce dual friction clutch, and Mickey Thompson drag radials out back.

1979 Chevy Camaro Berlinetta
76,000 original miles
I bought this car in October of 2005 with plans to make her my daily driver. I was told the car had a 305 when I purchased it, but when I got it home I realized it had a 350. I decided to make her a Z28 clone. I rebuilt the car to pretty much stock specifications. I replaced the timing wheel, chain, and cover, the water pump, all hoses and vacuum lines, replaced the carb, put new plugs and wires on her, installed a new heater core, and radiator, repaired rotten floors and lower quarters. I then restored the body and mounted all Z28 options. I used templates to drill holes for the teardrop scoop and the spoiler. Sent the car off to paint, and restored the interior the following winter.
Cars have always been around my house. My dad was huge on restoring cars and turning them around for a profit in the 1980's. He's had many a GTO, firebird, and Camaros. When the time came for me to get my first car, I knew what I had to get.

2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 M6
I bought the car from a dealership that I work at for $13,500 with 14,500 miles. She has no T-Tops, manual door locks, manual windows. Doesn't even have a trunk release button. I bought her because my white 95 Z was a piece of junk. Broke every time I drove it, lol. Plus it was a good deal. I've always wanted a Camaro, and now I have the one of my dreams! It's so nice to be able to pull in somewhere and have people come over and ask what's done and how good the car looks.
Mods:Free "Cold Air" mod, SLP Lid, K&N Air Filter, SLP Smooth Bellow, Coolant Bypass, Pacesetter LT's, Pacesetter Off-road 3" Y-pipe, A.I.R. Delete, Skip Shift Eliminator, 160* Thermostat, UMI Subframe Connectors, 2002 SS Wheels w/ 275/40 - 17 BF Goodwrich g-force T/A KDW tires, UMI Lower Control Arms, TSP 233/239 Cam, Patriot Gold Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Push Rods, TSP ported LS6 Oil Pump ,LS2 Timing Chain, 3" Custom True Duals, Tuned by PSI Motorsports, Whistler Mod

2001 Trans Am WS6
Dave K.
Bought this car 3 years ago at a dealership. Was bone stock down the the original paper air filter. It is now a full bolt on car SLP LT's, SLP LM1, SLP Lid, FAST 92/92, ASP UDP just to name a few things. Car has full rear suspension by Spohn, with QA1 coilovers all around. I do drive this car everyday, atleast when it's not broken. I've had the car down the 1/4 in about 12 seconds and mph's 115 +.

1994 Camaro Z28
Name:Kyle Mitchell
I bought this car about 3 years ago, 6 months before I got my learners permit. This is my pride and joy. I learned to drive on this car. I dont have many mods, but I do have a Magnaflow cat back, Tb Airfoil, SLP fan switch, American Racing Torque Thrust II'S... I've wanted a Camaro since my dad sold his 1988 Iroc Z when I was 7, to buy a boat (he hasnt lived it down yet).

Most members call them Turd Gens. Picture #1 is going to win anyway, nice car and sharp color plus if 21 people voted for it before, I would have to guess they are going to do it again. LOL

I recently just purchase this 99 Trans Am. It originally was owned in Atlanta Georgia and over the years made its way down to St. Petersburg Florida. I have wanted a bird for a very long time and finally made that wish come true.
It is modified with Corsa Tips, Magnaflow Mufflers, Custom X Pipe, True Duals, QTP Long Tube Headers, SLP Air Lid, LS7 Clutch and Flywheel, 9'' rear w/ 3:70 gears, 31 Spline Axles, Torque Thrust II wheels...17x9 and 17x10.5, Pro 5.0 Shifter, Tru Fiber WS-6 hood and sits on 315/35/17 Nitto Drag Radials.

Name Matt Westerfield, I have had the car since july 2008 and i have had an extemely fun time with the car. Drive the car every day, since july i have put close to 17,000 miles on it. Car sits with a perfect stance now on strano lowering springs. The previous owner put a SLP Lid on the car, since i have had it put a GMMG chambered catback on, hurst shifter, strut brace, 30th anniversary trans am center taillight decal on. I have tons of plans with the car. As the 2009 season continues i will be doing more things to the car. i was recently happy with my dyno i got done, good numberes for a lid and catback car. this photo is different than your normal photo you see submitted.

I was refering to the 1979 Blue Camaro that had 21 votes in the March COTM. I believe it is the first picture in this months list, although it is a shot of the back of the car and not in a parking lot that had some members not liking the background in last months shot.

This is my 95 camaro Z28 it has a manual 6 speed in it, Its my first car and im overly obsesed with it. It has a borla exhaust and K&N cold air kit and some hooker headers coming in may. The stripes were from a previous owner and do not extend all the way down the front of the car to keep it different from the stripes that you could buy from the factory

My Submission
I'm Bill Moore and my car is a 1979 z28. I bought it in 2006, in my senior year of high school, without knowing too much about fixing up cars. It was originally a 350/TH350 car, but someone had swapped in a '69 350 with 305 heads. I almost sold it, but I decided to fix it up when I couldn't get what I wanted for it. I recently just swapped in an LT1 and 700r4 from a 1993 z28. I rebuilt the LT1 before it went in, in hopes of eventually spraying it. During the swap, I noticed that the rear frame had rust that had been patched with bondo in its past, and I ended up welding in a new frame section. I'm definetly looking forward to driving all around the state with my new setup. I'm also planning on using it as a daily driver until someone mentions the word snow. I'm loving my fuel injection and overdrive

Thanks, yours is looking pretty good! I wish I had gotten a blue car. Looks like a lot of work went into it making it a Z28, I'm hoping to get back my spoiler pieces, original color, and striping some day.

Its a 1995 Z28, with none other than a sweet LT1. Picked it up my senior year in high school, and since then put maybe 10k miles on, its slowly getting to the 75k mark. As it stands now, its stock I swear.
Basically its a heads/cam bolt on car with a higher torque converter. OEM ZR1 rims and a B&B triflow cat back. When I get a job the nitrous kit is going in and hopefully it will see some days at the track come summer.
Boatyard pic, props to nastyLSsssssssssssssssssssssssss)
