Ocean City Cruisin' Weekend 2008

May 15-18, 2008
The show itself is only for 1976 and earlier, but the main thing is just cruising up and down the main strip all weekend. Its an amazing time, definitely worth it if you can get some time off or whatever.

www.cruisinoceancity.com

It is $35 (before March 1) for the show which includes a guest pass
$45 from March 1-May1 and that still gets the guest pass
$55 day of show (if there are still spots open)

You need guest passes to get into the shows, and if you just go I believe they are $20 each down there. If you bring a car (76 and older) its worth signing up because you can drive, and park at the shows at different areas, even if you plan on just walking around, or whatever. Parking is a pain! You will see some really insane cars cruising all weekend, and many of them are on street slicks, so ya know at some point youre gonna catch a few exhibitions of 0-speedlimit. Ill be going down the 15th, staying at a friends house, but hotel info can be found at: www.ocvisitor.com if you do plan on going make sure you get in touch with me before the 15th and if there are enough of us we can all get together down there. At night there are TONS of places to go to, I will talk to my friend, its her house and she knows all the places down there to go to, so I will post those up later on if anyone wants to know those.

PHONE NUMBERS - to meet up or if there are any problems.

I'll be down there with my friend Dan again. I believe hes getting a hotel somewhere on the strip with a balcony so we can drink to our hearts content and walk around.

We should definitely meet up again and cruise together!

Definitely Alex, my buddy Steve is going to have his Monte Carlo this year, so we will definitely be doing ALOT of cruising. There are a few spots that we may need to have a few photos taken at this year, and not have to leave because of over heating issues <knock on wood>

Put it this way, I needed new tires on the car after Ocean City Its 500x crazier than wildwood with whats rolling up and down the road. We would be up at 9-10 be cruising by 12. We would finish up cruising around 2am party till 4 and then repeat it. The cars never stopped rolling, and from the condo we heard and saw stuff all 24 hours a day for the entire 5 days we were there. At one point I was cruising between a 67 SS chevelle with a blown 468 Rat motor and a 69 SS Chevelle that was rolling on slicks (not even street slicks) that had a 7.xx dial in. So yeah, I would say its kinda crazy down there. The best part about it is being able to cruise and let off some steam, you get to see some things cruising that you never get to see other than in pages of magazines or on the tv.

Yeah, I dont think I will be attending the shows because I wont have carpet or anything in the car, but I will be cruising all weekend. The rain never stopped some from cruising last year

I'm leaving thursday around 12-1pm, driving down Route 1 the whole way. I'm staying on like 119th at the Sirene. Everything was booked up when I drove down there yesterday to scope a place out. So i'm kind of far out, but even on 119th theres still a lot cars

Yeah I am staying off the main strip this year but was somewhere about 54th last year by the 7-11. We all have to make a night we can meet up, and we also need to get some phone numbers if there are any problems while we are down there so someone isnt left stranded. Ill make a thread up for phone numbers soon.

Hey Big Jon, think you might have any room for an extra person? My friend Dan with the Stang is backing out on me and I'll have no where to crash.
