T&D shaft mounts
Anyone have experience with them? I hear the quality is comparable to Jesel, the price is nice too. Does anyone know the part number for stock lt1 heads as well?
thanks!

Well give em a call, I am sure they will set ya straight.

T & D won't hold up like jesels or even comps. they are nice pieces but I have a couple gys that ran them in garveys, t & ds lasted one season& they were shot, jesels still runinin (5 or 6 seasons) and the comps made it 4 seasons

was waiting for you to chime in Curt, thanks. i guess it would be wise to spend the little extra coin for the jesels. i was googling around and saw a few offshore boat guys were running the t&d's and said they were just as good as jesels. you know they sit high up in the rpm for quite some time too.

the quality of the td rockers is comparible to jesels,
the problem lies in their roller fulcrums. I have seen 1st. hand, a set of td's taken out after one season. unbolted rockers, disassembled them and all the bearings in the fulcrum were wiped out/ground down, etc...
the jesel one where mint and the comps too .
the comp & jesel design have better oiling to the bearings. thats why they last longer.
& yes all used at high rpm for long periods of time ! but isn't that the true test?
I know i rather use a rocker that holds up to that kind of rpm even if they won't be abused like that.

Yes of course! Wouldn't want anyone else to think less of your pile of car parts.
Why the thinking of any need for shaft mounts versus you know the normal, much cheaper, NSA ultra pro mag setup?

yea im not getting that either... with nothing more than just a le2 setup.... overkill doesnt describe you putting shaft mounts in your car... are you doing solid roller? you can only run so big of a cam with those heads.... i vote sell your heads and get some crazy flowen heads then get shaft mounts... otherwise i think your just wasting money to be honest man... jesel shaft mounts are probably a good $1000 over a ultra promag setup

Why don't you focus on the current pile of junk you have accumulating?

i mean they are a good idea but i mean what cam are you going to run where you are making power to 7k plus and then what computer are you going to use being on obd1 doesnt that cut out at like 6500-6600....? your staying with a HR cam right? also why are you thinking about your next build on the car??? hahah finish the first one! in the end you know whats best for your car... but i just don't see the purpose.... what are regular 7/16 studded nsa rockers good too usually?

I think you need to figure out what cam you are gonna run, and springs you are going to use. Then sit down and pick the rocker that fits your needs. Or in your case, the most expensive ones you can find.
