While trying to separate the tranny from the bellhousing, we accidentally cracked the clutch bleeder. So we bolted the tranny back up and had it towed to the shop. Dad had it up on the lift this morning, so there is a chance that it will be done today.

Dad also noticed that the rear tranny mount was broken, so he's gonna install Craig's poly mount while he's at it.

Hehe, yea - it did suck.

The driver mentioned to Craig that maybe the reason the car broke down was the wire that was hanging down under it (tranny temp and speed). Craig said it had more to do with the lack of clutch fluid and a driveshaft

Mine doesn't pop out of reverse!! Granted it's only got 108K, but still. It does pop out of third or second at times though. It's been beat on pretty hard by me. I hope it holds out for another year or so until I can get a 12 Bolt or 9" rear.

No. Only $320 to install the tranny, $160 for the (clutch slave?) bleeder, and $130 for the rear tranny mount that was cracked....gotta love GM parts.

Nope, the later v6's use a really wierd looking mount. He has a universal poly mount, but you have to extend the crossmember forward to use it.
