Trans Swap??

i have a 350hp 327 in my camaro, it has the factory 2 speed powerglide..... should i change to a TH350 or just upgrade the PG with a reverse pattern manual valve body, 3500 stall conve. shift kit, cooler, and trans brake. also the rear gears are currently stock but are gettin swapped to 3.90:1 posi... which woulld be the trans??????

well to start off, if your going to race bracket races to make some$$$, stick with the PG, or just racing and streeting it with 3.90 gears then a th350, i would put in,a 3500 stall sure be a good choice,a 10" one,good luck. JR1.

I'd recommend a built 200-4R. GN's and T-types are running them into the low 10s, so if they're built right, they'll handle your 350 hp motor. It'll pretty much bolt in, except for the crossmember (pretty sure the trannys are the same length). You can get a non-lockup converter so you won't have to worry about a harness for that. Your car will definitely be quicker, and more fun to drive too, plus you'll get way better mileage on the highway having the OD with the 3.90s out back.
