Good Transmission shops

I'm looking for a good transmission shop in the Wayne, NJ area. I have a TH350 that is leaking after 30 years of use. Any recommendations?

Is the trans out of the car or do you need it R&R'ed too? Also depends if you are looking for a stock rebuild or something more substantial. TTP, TMR, and SSP are all up north and would have the ability or contacts to help you get a properly rebuilt trans in your car.

I have a B&M Street/Strip TH350 if you want a replacement instead of rebuilding your current trans. I bought it new for my El Camino 5 years ago and ended up selling the car. Has at most 500 miles on it. Let me know if your interested.

A leak can be as simple as a pan gasket or output shaft seal. Your normal mechanic can probably fix it if it just leaking.

Just saw this now but Allstar Transmission in Haledon does really good work. Alex (Arock) can verify this also.

do yourself a favor, and stay away from all star trans!

chris may get lucky on some but between my two brothers, my father and myself, we have had him do about 5-6 trannies that were never right. we were friends with him so he always tried to get them right but it was rare that he did. that is why we now build our own or sub them out to our friends shop in stillwater nj

3 times he did my fathers th400 on his old suburban before it was right. my brother shaun had an escort that was back about 4 times or more, my brother mc73nova's trans for his camaro (700r4) lasted about 10 min. before it blew. my camaro 700r4 lasted a week, and they screwed up a clutch job on my brother shauns rx-7. and the last one i can remember was my rx-7, 5spd , the switched a few shafts and when i got it back it popped out of 1st gear everytime. the only one that was right the first time was a th350 he did that was supposed to go in the nova but ended up in a chevelle.
