May Car of the Month Submissions

Anyone can post one picture of only their Camaro or Firebird in this thread.

Please include your name and a short paragraph (at least a few sentences) describing the mods done to the car and/or a short story about the car as well.

If this is not posted in this thread by the time voting begins, your car will not be included in the vote.

At the last week of the month we will post a poll that will last for one week and the winner will get to spend the following month showcased on the home page of the site. Past winners will not be eligible to win again for 12 months.

All submitted pictures should be a minimum size of 640 x 480, as this is the size of the image that will be posted on the home page. If you aren't sure of the size, post it up the largest image you have (within reason).

If you have submitted a car in the past, but were not selected as a winner, feel free to submit another pic. You can continue to enter each month until you win.

Please limit this thread to posts submitting pictures only. Comments and other chit-chat will be removed.

GET THOSE SUBMISSIONS IN!!!

Mike Gill
01 SLP SS Pewter LQ4 M6. I purchased the car November 09 off of Ebay from the burbs of DC, and to say the deal was shady is an understatement. The car made 407 rwhp and 380 rwtq on a crappy tune. I grenaded the 10 bolt in 2 weeks and the car now has a Moser 12 bolt with 4.11's. I plan on adding some heads in the future but now Im just enjoying driving it every day...even if it does average 9mpg.

Eric Molineaux
1998 Camaro Z/28

bought this car 2 years ago bone stock. since that time its come a long way after i ended up blowing up a piston in the ls1 and snapping the output shaft in the t-56 transmission. car now consists of some suspension, a nice LQ9 6.0L and fresh built t-56 that shifts like a hot knife through butter. basic bolt ons and exterior items Ultra Z hood. ss wing, and american racing TTM wheels. Cant say its one of the fastest but i can say its a pretty damn nice 4th gen!

Kyle Mitchell: 1994 Camaro Z28. This car is my pride and joy. It is my first car and the car I learned to drive on. Ive owned it for about 5 years now. It has basic mods, Magnaflow exhaust, TTII's, Slp fan control switch, and some other little mods, but Pacesetter long tubes and K&N cold air intake are waiting to be installed. This car recently won a trophy at a local car show for "Best Original Paint" in September.

About the car: The car has full bolt on's, a D&D built T-56 transmission, Moser 12 bolt, and full UMI suspension. I bought the car about 3 and a half years ago and it was completely stock at the time. It was also a salvage car that needed a complete new front clip installed. My current best 1/4 mile time is a 12.1 @ 115mph.

picture credit goes to adam (sweetbmxer) and was taken at the atco track rental last year

95 Pont firebird formula M6. Bought the car off the board with a whole bag of goodies already on it including an LQ4 motor swapped in with a mild cam, full exhaust, cutout, 8 point cage, subframe connectors and some other things. The to do list includes smoking taillights and corner markers and a 12 bolt.

1995 3.4 V6 Firebird

This is my first car. I got it when i was 15 and started loveing F-bodys ever since. The car is an auto with little mods done to it. Nothing big but she rides nice. While owning the car I started takeing pictures like my friend Matt (DaSkinnyGuy). Now I never go anywhere without a camera incase i find a nice spot to take pictures of the car. Owning this car has changed a few things about me.

I bought this car in November of 2009 from deadtrend1. Never thought of owning a LT1 but it was a deal I couldn't pass up. The car has a LT4 hot cam, BMR SFC's, a hooker cat back, an ls1 brake swap, as well as many other mod's. This car makes Vroom noises and I like it!

Thanks Knipps for the Photoshop work

1987 Trans Am. Bought this car about 6 years ago and it's been my toy since then. It has a pretty much stock 305 with a set of flowtech headers and a flowmaster cat-back exhaust. Almost every part of the suspension has been replaced. I put Poly bushings in the front along with a Spohn wonder bar and Hotchkis SFC's. The rear is a 9 bolt posi from a camaro held in with Spohn LCA's, torque arm and panhard bar.

About the car: I bought this car in September 2007 from Taylorsville Ketucky. It had 13,000 miles on it when I purchased it and some modifications. It is a stripper car, the only option it has is a rear defroster. It's a heads/cam car with an HSW nitrous kit and Moser 9" along with other misc. upgrades like a custom Mufflex exhaust system and an MSD 2-Step.

I thought i would throw this out there ha. Well ive owned the car for around 3 years and it has been sitting for about a year due to me moving, body work, and a blown rear but besides that its great, ha. It has 352 gear, functioning ss hood with intake and just ordered a set of long tubes. It should be finished soon then i hope to be a real contestant for the car of the month!
