Crack in door's paint

So I'm trying to find someone to fix my engine, and the last shop I was at not only told me they can't fix it.....but I found an unpleasant suprise!

Apparently when they parked my car, the door was smacked into one of those metal poles!

I don't have any pics because the car is at its 4th shop trying to get someone to fix my engine. However, the crack seems minor (only 1-2 inches, barely noticeable just below the keyhole) but I am wondering if the actual door skin is cracked somewhere...there are no ripples in the door so hopefully just the paint cracked which should be an easy fix.

Door is cracked most likely. It is made of basically smc not actually fiberglass but is prone to cracking when hit. Unless you had a bondo repair in that area, a crack in just paint isnt likely.

Just got the car back from the body shop to fix the cracks in the door - good as new!

They found three cracks that needed SMC repairs, then they repainted the door and blended the rear quarter.
