My buddy is a BMW guy and his and his wife's car are miserable to work on. They constantly go wrong, too. They do drive great, though. If I had the money and the patience, I would get one.

I wish I had the resources for a z06 in general. Let alone this one. But I shall drool at it. How close does this come to the fastest production cars? I'm sure the Bugatti is a little quicker

Corvette will never hang with hypercar royalty. It's role is to fight for the best value in the supercar market against the GT-R and Viper. It certainly holds its own in that fight.

Corvette is just an all around better car than the viper. Everyday drive-ability, comfort, economy, ease to work on etc. Each has its benefit however the vette truly is an everyday type car you wouldn't hate to drive.

If I got $100k to drop on a daily driver, hell yeah. Drive both and call me. I never drove a dodge that I thought drove really great. M-cars are fun to drive.

The price for the Z06 and Hellcat will calm down in 6 months to a year. That's if they keep on pace with demand.

When I fix cars on the side, I literally charge more because its a german car.
PCV system on my sisters 05 audi a4 turd.... $1100 in PARTS.
Over.
Engineered.
Poop.
I'd rather pay 70k for a hellcat than 100k for a piece that will sit in the shop longer than on the road...

Hey, we drive opti cars... so we can't be knocking on Dodge!
Mopar, More Parts! at least they are affordable parts! lol.
We had a 92 Voyager that we ran into the ground. Transmission finally went at 250k miles (typical mopar).
I'd rather roll my dice with a Dodge than a BMW. at least I'll have like $30k in my pocket to do stuff with :P

Speak for yourself, none of my vehicles have optisparks or a distributor for that matter.
hellcat = cheap muscle car
vette = high end pasta killer
Vette > hellcat
Dodge, lulz.

He no longer has an opti and has chosen less serviceable options for his ignition control.
I have no bearing on how reliable the SRT cars have been but I'm sure owners will be putting their hellcats to the test. Same for C7Z owners. Suffice to say, I rolled the dice on a 1st year model with the G8 which served me well. I won't be dipping my toe into either of these without others vetting these a bit (maybe a little pun intended).

No doubt but $20k-$40k is a big gap.

lol I dunno about the vettes being ''high end'' really. it may be chevy's top dog but its still put together on the cheap. i saw a few vettes recently and they had horrible paint jobs on them from the factories and ive read a few articles of them even stopping delivery on them for multiple reasons.
Them Chargers though...4 door car, in a non cop magnet with the power and performance for the price of a base model vette. Id rather have the best and most powerful sedan ever built, than the cheapest performance car in the high end segment
