need some help quick

i just bought a shorter serpentine belt so that i could bypass my a/c compressor. now, the tensioner doesn't really make much of a difference tension-wise, so i have to put this thing on without its help. any ideas of how to get this done? i have a 3.4 L, and i bought a 685k6 b/c i saw some other people had used this.

take string and run it through the route that your serp belt would take and pull the tensioner in so that it would me the belt tight if let go and measure the string. take the measurement to a parts store and they should be able to help you

this is kinda what i did. tomorrow i'm just gonna go back and get the next biggest belt. if that fits i'm good, and if it is too loose, i'm gonna try stretching the other one on again. hopefully i can get it before class tomorrow.
