converting lt1 automatic to a manual 6 speed

Would like some tips, pointers, suggetions, and general help on what i should do to: convert my automatic to a manual (im planning on doing a bore and stroke on the engine), or should i just go and replace my lt1 with a ls1 with a 6 speed?

look into teh cost of both including the performance level you want to attain.
the LS1 will drop around 100-125lbs off the front of the car, huge performance upgrade.
prices on ls1 stuff have been dropping dramatically late too.

swapping the tranny woudl be much less involved than a whole motor and trans swap. you woudl have to update/reprogram the computer for the new tranny.

later
