Spintech owners step in

Mufflex is in state so I'm expecting at least a few guys to have a spintech exhaust. I heard the 3 inch spintech setup on ls1 sounds but I would really like to hear one of the 3in or 3.5 in setups in person if anyone has one. Also, some people say the spintechs don't flow well, anyone have any experience as to whether they lost power going to the spintech setup or not? So that leads into question, who wants to let me drop by and hear their car before I go buy an exhaust I've only heard online.

I had the Mufflex 4" Spintech with dual 3" outlets on my old H/C (cartek stage 3 LS6 package) camaro. With that exhaust on, my car put down something like 428 / 415 through the 6 speed. They took the catback off and put on a texas speed rumbler and the numbers shot to 460 / 432. This was done back to back. It sounded great but my car picked up alot removing it and going with a texas speed rumbler (this was all back in 2003).

crap. Figures every time I find an exhaust I like it turns it that it flows like crap. I even called Mufflex today and they pretty much told me with my setup I'm gonna have(400whp) I shouldnt bother with their 3.5in either.

I have spintech mufflers on my truck and IROC.. Both make plenty of power.. I have had no problems with Spintech products..

Correct me if I am wrong but isnt the "rumbler" a dual 3" exhaust that dumps before the axle??

I do know the Mufflex back half is a full exhaust that works with a factory style y pipe..

Make sure you are comparing apples to apples. A crossflow muffler will not outflow a bullet and a full exhaust will not outflow dumps..

Sorry guys, it was the rumbler catback (LM1 with bullet muffler). I 110% agree that a bullet will outflow a crossflow everyday and twice on Sunday, but I wasn't expecting to pick up that much. Mufflex is a great shop (they've done all of my exhaust work), I'm sure they'll get you setup wth a great exhaust.

I have a Mufflex 4" with a dual exit Spintech. I love the thing and the whole system from the Y-pipe back is excellent.
