So... Jeep.

Goddamnit, Jeep.

Just when I had a financial plan, they've gone and potentially screwed it up.

Part of me is doing the Homer Simpson "Oh my god Oh my god Oh my god" thing, and the other is hoping desperately that they don't screw it up.

It'll be interesting to see what it looks like when it's not all camouflaged/tossed together with random parts bin stuff for testing.

It's a drivetrain test mule, so not the final body. However, it does mean that they're finally doing a Jeep pickup.

Its more like an SUV with a little bed. Not what I would call a truck. Maybe it will sell better than the last time they sold trucks...

I'd absolutely jump on a Comanche if I could find one in good shape.

I like the old full size trucks better.
I guess they couldn't do that since it would compete with Ram trucks?

Brute fan here! Love a nice midsize truck. They are just so practical for my lifestyle. I can see a need for a full size for some but not for me. Love the canyon with the minimax. Hope this gets a proven diesel and not some pos afterthought. Wrangler + pickup bed + diesel =

Is it something that has been in use overseas or something new? Chrysler is friends with Cummins!

Nothing new for 2017. 2018 could see some new powertrains.

I'd like to replace my '06 ranger in the next couple years with another small truck. Something tells me the new jeep pickup will be priced similar to a full-size half ton.

I just wish someone would make a small 4x4 pickup with a regular cab like they used to. All the small pickups keep getting bigger and they only offer quad cabs or extra cabs. I don't need a full size anymore since I sold the heavier boat.

It's got something to do with CAFE standards, that's why you don't see too many reg cab small pickups.

I saw a pic of an old scrambler and thought of this thread.
