actually i like the look of an ultra-z hood with an ss spoiler on the LS1 cars.

Yeah I've seen them before. However, that's like 600-700 new then paint then blah blah all the other add ons....

I'm hoping to try to find one painted silver that I can pop right on

Hmmm.. either way I think you are going to have to get it blended to the car or else it might looked two toned from the front, but I could be mistaken.

ASCD Is one of the best companies out their for hoods from what I read. If I were to get a cowl hood for a 4th gen hood I would go with the Sunocco hood with NO line. The other cowls look like total ****.

My personal favorite LS1 Camaro Hoods are:
Stock SS
Ultra Z
Sunocco
Mecham

I hate the ultra Z and HATE the mecham.....The SS I like but I'm also lookng at a 4" normal cowl but that would be police problems....consantly getting owned my obstruction of view

there is a chance a cop may say something to you, but it is not likely. in new jersey you are allowed up to a 3inch cowl. so they could justify giving you some crap about it. as long as you are taller than kasey you shoudl be able to see over it fine.
